Comparative Public Opinion Study (2019–2024)

15-03-2024

2019 2024 Media Police FR QAPR Group has published the full report "Results of a Social Survey on Public Attitudes towards Law Enforcement Authorities, the Foreign Policy of the Republic of Armenia and Media Literacy of the Public: Comparative Study (2019–2024)."

The study was conducted in cooperation with the Union of Informed Citizens Consulting NGO and presents a comparative analysis of public opinion in Armenia between 2019 and 2024.

The report focuses on three key public policy areas:

  • public trust in law enforcement institutions;
  • public perceptions of Armenia's foreign policy;
  • media literacy and information consumption patterns among the population.

The research is based on a nationwide quantitative survey conducted across all regions of Armenia, including Yerevan. A total of 1,200 face-to-face interviews were carried out using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) methodology. The survey employed a stratified cluster random sample with a 95% confidence level and a ±2.81% margin of error.

By comparing findings from 2019 and 2024, the report provides valuable evidence on how public attitudes have evolved over time. It offers an evidence base for policymakers, researchers, international organisations, civil society organisations and the media, supporting informed decision-making, strategic communication and evidence-based public policy.

The full research reports in Armenian and English are attached to this publication.
