In December 2017 APR Group (“Advanced Public Research Group” NGO) with financial support from Open Society Foundations – Armenia has launched a project aiming at improvement of the level of labor rights protection in Armenia through active engagement and participation of youth. Within the framework of the project training courses will be organized for representatives of youth centers in all regions/marzes (except for the Capital Yerevan) on labor rights protection, advocacy as well as conducting sociological and monitoring research.
In May 2017 HCA Vanadzor, jointly with the ‘Advanced Public Research Group’ (APR Group) NGO, conducted a sociological survey throughout Armenia to find out the public positions on international entities (EU, EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union)). The Survey was carried out with the financial support of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee within the project on Raising Effectiveness of Protection of Citizens’ Rights in Relations with the Police. The findings of the Survey entitled “Positions: to the North or West?” are presented in comparison with the findings of similar survey carried out in the previous 3 years.
On February 21, 2017 Ruben Sargsyan presented the research results on “Indices characterizing the activity of the law enforcement agencies in 2016” at the discussion on “Situation of Human Rights Violations in Police-Citizen Relations in 2016” organized by HCA Vanadzor office. Indices were calculated based on the sociological survey and include index of arbitrariness of RA law enforcement bodies and Police trust index. This research has been done for the second time and summarizes comparative analysis of 2015 and 2016 indexes.
During the workshop for journalists on nutrition issues in Armenia organized by Oxfam on October 29 in Tsakhkadzor, Ruben Sargsyan, chairman of APR Group presented the findings of the research on the state of nutrition of the Armenian population.
“Let’s follow healthy lifestyle and pay more attention to healthy child nutrition and knowledge nutrition practices”, mentioned Surgsyan when summarizing the outcomes of the research.
